Richemont in Meyrin seeks a Head of Commercial Area to lead regional commercial strategy and P&L for its luxury maisons.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Define and implement the commercial strategy for the assigned geographic area to achieve revenue, margin and market-share objectives.
  • Own the area P&L: set targets, manage budgets, monitor performance and take corrective action to protect profitability.
  • Lead, coach and develop a multidisciplinary team of sales, wholesale and retail managers to deliver consistent brand execution.
  • Drive business with key wholesale partners and flagship retail operations, negotiating commercial terms and ensuring contractual compliance.
  • Translate global brand and marketing initiatives into local commercial plans, trade marketing activities and seasonal assortments.
  • Establish rigorous KPI tracking and reporting rhythms, using sales analytics to identify growth levers and underperforming segments.
  • Oversee inventory flow, distribution priorities and allocation decisions to optimize sell-through and minimize markdown exposure.
  • Ensure exemplary client experience and clienteling practices across channels, aligning CRM activations with local priorities.
  • Collaborate with merchandising, operations and HR to align staffing, visual standards and retail operations with commercial objectives.
  • Represent the maison externally with key stakeholders and internally as the commercial voice for the region.

Qualifications

  • Proven leadership record in luxury retail or wholesale commercial management, ideally within watches, jewellery or leather goods.
  • Demonstrable P&L ownership and experience setting and achieving ambitious sales and margin targets.
  • Strong negotiation skills and established experience managing distributor, wholesale or department store relationships.
  • Excellent analytical capability with a data-driven approach to assortment, pricing and promotional decisions.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and leadership skills with experience coaching senior store and area managers.
  • Fluency in English and strong command of French preferred to operate effectively in Geneva and francophone markets.

Experience

Typically 8+ years of progressive commercial experience in luxury goods or premium retail, including at least 3–5 years in a leadership role with P&L accountability and cross‑channel management.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing or equivalent; a master's degree or luxury-brand specialization is advantageous.
