Head of Accounting
Richemont seeks a Head of Accounting in Singapore to lead statutory reporting, consolidation and local finance operations.
Overview
Richemont is a leading global luxury goods group managing a portfolio of prestigious maisons across jewellery, watches, leather goods and specialised luxury houses. Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all accounting operations for the Singapore entity, ensuring timely and accurate month‑end close and statutory financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (IFRS / SFRS) and Singapore statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules for local statutory reporting and group consolidation.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors and regulatory authorities during audits, tax filings and compliance reviews.
- Develop, maintain and enhance internal control frameworks and accounting policies to safeguard assets and ensure reliable financial reporting.
- Partner with regional finance and treasury teams to support cash management, intercompany reconciliations and balance sheet integrity.
- Drive process improvements, automation and accounting best practices across transactional accounting and reporting workflows.
- Coach, develop and manage the local accounting team, promoting technical excellence and continuous development.
Qualifications
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CA, CPA, ACCA) strongly preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of IFRS and Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS).
- Solid understanding of Singapore corporate tax and GST compliance obligations.
- Demonstrated ability to implement and maintain robust internal controls and accounting policies.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with experience liaising to external auditors and group finance.
Skills
Experience
Minimum of eight years of progressive accounting experience, including several years in a supervisory or managerial role within a multinational corporate environment; prior exposure to luxury retail, consumer goods or multi‑entity group reporting is highly desirable.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline; professional accounting certification (CA/CPA/ACCA) preferred.
