Role & Responsibilities

  • Define and execute global market merchandising strategy for leathergoods and accessories, ensuring alignment with seasonal themes, brand positioning and commercial targets.
  • Develop and manage assortment architecture, SKU mix, price ladders and allocations across markets to maximise sell‑through and margin.
  • Produce seasonal range plans, financial forecasts and buy plans; monitor sell‑through and adjust supply, markdowns and reorders accordingly.
  • Collaborate closely with Design, Product Development, Buying, Planning, Retail and Wholesale teams to translate creative direction into commercially viable ranges.
  • Analyse market trends, consumer insights and competitor activity to inform assortment decisions and product prioritisation.
  • Prepare regular performance reports and present recommendations to senior stakeholders and regional teams.
  • Lead market launches, coordinate inventory cadence and support local teams on merchandising execution and visual presentation.
  • Drive continuous improvement in assortment efficiency, SKU rationalisation and lifecycle management.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record in leathergoods/accessories merchandising within the luxury goods sector.
  • Commercial orientation with strong numerical and analytical capability; comfortable building and defending commercial plans.
  • Advanced stakeholder management skills with experience working across design, buying, supply chain and retail operations.
  • Ability to synthesise market insight into actionable assortment and pricing strategies.
  • High level of organisation, attention to detail and capacity to manage multiple seasons and product streams simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required.

Experience
