Richemont seeks a General Ledger Accountant in Villars‑sur‑Glâne, Switzerland to lead month‑end close, reconciliations and financial reporting.

Overview

Role & Responsibilities

  • Execute month‑end and year‑end general ledger close activities, ensuring timeliness and accuracy of financial statements.
  • Prepare and post recurring and non‑recurring journal entries; maintain a complete and auditable paper trail.
  • Perform detailed account reconciliations, including intercompany and balance sheet substantiation.
  • Support statutory, management and consolidated reporting in accordance with IFRS and local Swiss requirements.
  • Investigate and resolve accounting variances and support ad‑hoc financial analyses for business partners.
  • Coordinate with tax, treasury and operational teams to ensure proper accounting of VAT, accruals and provisions.
  • Facilitate internal and external audits by preparing schedules, explanations and documentation.
  • Contribute to process improvements, internal control enhancements and ERP optimisation projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Professional accounting certification preferred (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA) or demonstrable equivalent experience.
  • Solid knowledge of IFRS and Swiss accounting practices.
  • Strong analytical aptitude with meticulous attention to detail and adherence to internal controls.
  • Effective communicator capable of liaising with international stakeholders and audit teams.

Experience
