Richemont seeks a General Ledger Accountant in Villars‑sur‑Glâne, Switzerland to lead month‑end close, reconciliations and financial reporting.

Role & Responsibilities
- Execute month‑end and year‑end general ledger close activities, ensuring timeliness and accuracy of financial statements.
- Prepare and post recurring and non‑recurring journal entries; maintain a complete and auditable paper trail.
- Perform detailed account reconciliations, including intercompany and balance sheet substantiation.
- Support statutory, management and consolidated reporting in accordance with IFRS and local Swiss requirements.
- Investigate and resolve accounting variances and support ad‑hoc financial analyses for business partners.
- Coordinate with tax, treasury and operational teams to ensure proper accounting of VAT, accruals and provisions.
- Facilitate internal and external audits by preparing schedules, explanations and documentation.
- Contribute to process improvements, internal control enhancements and ERP optimisation projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent professional qualification.
- Professional accounting certification preferred (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA) or demonstrable equivalent experience.
- Solid knowledge of IFRS and Swiss accounting practices.
- Strong analytical aptitude with meticulous attention to detail and adherence to internal controls.
- Effective communicator capable of liaising with international stakeholders and audit teams.
Skills
Experience
Typically 3–5 years of progressive general ledger or financial accounting experience within a multinational, holding or retail environment; prior exposure to luxury goods, wholesale or multi‑entity group accounting is advantageous.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline; professional accounting qualification preferred.
