Flagship Store Director
A. Lange & Söhne seeks a Boutique Director for its Ginza flagship in Tokyo to lead operations, sales and VIP client relations.

Role & Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day operations of the Ginza flagship boutique, ensuring flawless execution of brand standards and store presentation.
- Deliver topline sales and profitability targets through active P&L management, KPI monitoring and disciplined cost control.
- Develop, mentor and inspire a high-performing boutique team to deliver exceptional, personalised service to high-net-worth clients and collectors.
- Cultivate and maintain VIP and collector relationships, managing invitations, private viewings and bespoke client experiences.
- Oversee inventory integrity, stock replenishment, merchandising and loss-prevention procedures in close coordination with regional supply chain.
- Implement and adapt global visual merchandising directives locally to optimise product presentation and seasonal transitions.
- Coordinate local marketing, store events and partnerships with regional HQ to raise brand presence and drive footfall.
- Produce regular commercial reports and market feedback for HQ; act as the primary liaison between the boutique and corporate functions (sales, marketing, after-sales).
Qualifications
- Proven leadership record within luxury retail, preferably in haute horlogerie or high-end jewellery, with responsibility for a flagship or boutique.
- Demonstrable commercial acumen: P&L accountability, KPI-driven management and track record of meeting sales targets.
- Deep product knowledge of mechanical watchmaking and the ability to articulate technical details to connoisseurs and new clients alike.
- Exceptional clienteling skills with experience servicing HNW and UHNW clientele; discretion and impeccable interpersonal judgement.
- Highly developed organisational skills with strong attention to visual standards and operational detail.
- Fluency in Japanese and professional working proficiency in English is highly desirable to manage local clientele and liaise with regional/corporate teams.

Experience
Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in luxury retail with at least 3 years in a managerial role; prior experience in a watchmaking maison or high-end jewellery environment preferred.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, Luxury Brand Management or equivalent professional experience.
