Role & Responsibilities

  • Prepare and validate export documentation for shipments of high-value luxury goods, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading and certificates of origin.
  • Ensure full compliance with U.S. export controls, customs regulations and trade sanctions (including correct HTS/HS classification and accurate ECCN/commodity classifications where applicable).
  • File export declarations (AES/EEI) and maintain accurate export records to support audits and regulatory enquiries.
  • Coordinate freight bookings, insurance, customs brokerage and courier services with internal stakeholders and third-party logistics providers to meet delivery schedules and mitigate transit risk.
  • Liaise with sales, inventory, warehouse and finance teams to reconcile shipment details, resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate invoicing and cost allocation.
  • Manage export-related queries and exceptions, investigating delays, claims and discrepancies and implementing corrective actions.
  • Support continuous improvement of export processes, SOPs and compliance controls; contribute to internal training on export procedures.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of trade policy developments and recommend actions to maintain regulatory compliance and commercial continuity.

Qualifications

  • Proven knowledge of export regulations and customs procedures in the United States, including AES/EEI filing and HTS classification.
  • Demonstrable ability to prepare and review commercial shipping documentation for high-value goods.
  • Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy under operational deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills for cross-functional coordination with internal teams, carriers and customs brokers.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.

Experience

Minimum of 3 years' experience in export operations, logistics or trade compliance; experience handling high-value or luxury goods preferred and experience working with customs brokers and freight forwarders essential.

Education

Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Logistics, Business Administration or equivalent professional experience.
