Director, Operations — Distribution & Logistics
Richemont is hiring a Director, Operations Distribution & Logistics in New York to lead distribution, logistics and fulfillment operations for its maisons.

Role & Responsibilities
- Define and execute the distribution and logistics strategy for the New York / North American hub, aligning with global Richemont objectives and individual maison requirements.
- Lead end-to-end inbound and outbound logistics, warehouse operations, order fulfillment, returns management and last‑mile delivery performance.
- Manage relationships with third‑party logistics providers (3PLs), carriers and customs brokers; negotiate contracts and service level agreements.
- Drive inventory optimisation, demand‑driven replenishment, cycle counting regimes and warehouse layout/process improvements to reduce cost and lead time.
- Implement and monitor KPIs, SLAs and reporting frameworks to ensure service, quality and cost targets are met.
- Ensure compliance with customs, trade, security and regulatory requirements across import/export and bonded inventory operations.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with retail, e‑commerce, merchandising, finance and IT to support launches, seasonal peaks and omnichannel fulfilment.
- Lead, mentor and develop a high‑performing operations team; manage budgeting, forecasting and capital projects for distribution infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership in distribution and logistics at a regional or national level, ideally within luxury retail, fashion or premium consumer goods.
- Demonstrated success managing multi‑site fulfilment operations and 3PL partnerships.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience in contract negotiation, cost-to-serve analysis and P&L influence.
- Robust knowledge of customs, trade compliance and import/export procedures for the U.S. market.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication skills and experience operating in a matrixed, multi‑brand environment.

Experience
8+ years of progressive experience in logistics, distribution or supply chain operations with substantial leadership responsibility; prior exposure to luxury retail or consumer goods preferred.
Education
Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, business administration or related field; MBA or advanced logistics certification preferred.
