Richemont in New York seeks a Director, Commercial Learning & Development to lead retail learning strategy and elevate commercial performance.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Define and own the commercial learning & development strategy aligned to Richemont’s retail and wholesale commercial objectives across markets.
  • Design, pilot and scale learning curricula — including onboarding, sales excellence, product knowledge, leadership and coaching programs — tailored to boutique, regional and wholesale teams.
  • Lead the selection, implementation and optimisation of learning technologies and platforms (LMS, e‑learning, blended learning solutions) to ensure consistent global delivery and reporting.
  • Manage a team of L&D professionals and external vendors; set priorities, allocate budget and ensure high‑quality content production and facilitation.
  • Partner with Brand, HR, Retail Operations and Regional Commercial leaders to translate business priorities into measurable learning interventions.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs and ROI metrics for training initiatives; use data and performance insights to iterate programs and demonstrate commercial impact.
  • Drive change management and adoption through stakeholder engagement, train‑the‑trainer cascades and senior leader enablement.

Qualifications

  • Proven leadership in commercial L&D or sales capability development, ideally within luxury retail, premium goods or high‑touch service sectors.
  • Track record of designing and delivering scalable learning strategies across multi‑brand and multi‑market environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with experience influencing senior commercial and brand leaders.
  • Experience managing budgets, external suppliers and cross‑functional project teams.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation and executive coaching capabilities.

Experience

Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or professional certification in learning & development, organisational psychology, HR, or a related discipline preferred.
