Data Engineer — Looker Analytics
Richemont seeks a Data Engineer — Looker Analytics in Meyrin, Switzerland to build Looker models and analytics pipelines for luxury maisons.

Role & Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain Looker models and dashboards using LookML to deliver accurate, performant analytics to commercial and brand stakeholders.
- Build, optimise and operate data pipelines and ETL processes to populate the analytics warehouse and ensure data consistency across sources.
- Collaborate with data analysts, product owners and business teams to translate requirements into scalable data models, metrics and self-service dashboards.
- Implement data quality checks, monitoring and observability to detect and resolve pipeline issues and ensure trust in reporting.
- Contribute to data platform engineering: schema design, performance tuning, version control and deployment workflows for analytics assets.
- Document data definitions, modelling decisions and operational runbooks; train stakeholders on Looker best practices and governed metric usage.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience designing and shipping production analytics solutions using Looker and LookML.
- Demonstrable expertise in SQL and relational data modelling for analytics use cases.
- Strong programming skills in Python or a comparable language for data engineering tasks.
- Experience with cloud data warehouses and modern data stack components (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake, dbt, Airflow) and version control (Git).
- Excellent stakeholder communication skills and a collaborative approach to cross-functional problem solving.

Experience
Approximately 3+ years of professional experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or BI development, with hands-on Looker deployment and production data pipeline ownership.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science or equivalent; a Master’s degree is an advantage.
