Richemont seeks a Communications Manager in New York to lead U.S. media relations and brand communications for its maisons.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a coherent communications strategy for Richemont’s maisons and corporate initiatives in the U.S. market.
  • Lead media relations, proactively pitching features, securing placements and managing press enquiries across national and trade outlets.
  • Manage external agencies and freelance consultants, defining scopes, KPIs and budgets; oversee relationship and vendor performance.
  • Produce high-quality written materials including press releases, executive statements, media briefs and approved copy for owned channels.
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities with marketing, digital, product and retail teams to ensure integrated storytelling and campaign alignment.
  • Prepare spokespeople and senior executives for media interviews through messaging frameworks and media training.
  • Own issues and crisis communications response for assigned brands, escalating appropriately and coordinating rapid, consistent messaging.
  • Measure and report media impact and campaign performance using quantitative and qualitative metrics; refine tactics based on insights.
  • Support events, product launches and experiential activations with strategic communications planning and onsite media management.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record in strategic communications or public relations, ideally within luxury goods, fashion or premium consumer categories.
  • Experience managing agencies and multidisciplinary stakeholder groups with demonstrated budget oversight.
  • Strong editorial judgement and exceptional writing skills across press releases, op-eds, talking points and executive communications.
  • Ability to manage crisis and sensitive issues with composure and clear escalation protocols.
  • Comfort working in a matrix environment with multiple brands and cross-border teams.

Experience

Typically 5+ years of progressively responsible communications or PR experience, with preference for candidates who have worked in the luxury, fashion or premium lifestyle sectors and who have handled U.S. national media and agency relationships.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or a related field; advanced degree or specialized training in communications is advantageous.
