Communications Assistant Manager
Richemont is hiring a Communications Assistant Manager in Tokyo — lead local PR, media relations and brand activations for a leading luxury group.

Role & Responsibilities
- Support development and execution of local communications and PR strategies that align with global brand positioning and product calendars.
- Manage media relations in the market: draft and distribute press materials, coordinate interviews, cultivate journalist and influencer relationships, and handle media enquiries.
- Produce editorial content and creative assets for owned channels, including press releases, spokespeople briefs, social copy and event collateral.
- Coordinate local activations and press events end-to-end, including logistics, guest lists, production, on-site management and post-event reporting.
- Liaise with global and regional communications teams and external agencies to ensure consistent brand messaging and timely asset delivery.
- Monitor and analyse media coverage and campaign performance; prepare regular reports with insights and recommendations.
- Support crisis and issues communications under direction of senior communications leads; maintain up-to-date contact lists and approval workflows.
- Manage communications budgets for local activities and track spend against objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven experience in corporate communications, PR or brand communications within luxury goods, fashion, watches or jewellery.
- Excellent writing and editorial judgement; ability to produce high-quality press materials and adapt tone for different channels and audiences.
- Strong organisational skills with experience managing events and multiple stakeholders simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with international teams and external agencies.

Experience
Typically 3–5 years of progressive experience in communications, public relations or brand marketing, preferably within the luxury, fashion, watch or jewellery sectors. Experience managing local PR programmes and coordinating with regional/global teams is expected.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
