Commercial Learning & Development Manager
Richemont seeks a Manager, Commercial L&D in New York to lead commercial learning programs across retail and wholesale channels.

Role & Responsibilities
- Design, develop and deliver end-to-end learning journeys for commercial teams (retail, wholesale, e‑commerce and sales leadership) aligned with commercial strategy and KPIs.
- Lead needs analysis and competency mapping to prioritise capability gaps in clienteling, product knowledge, sales methodology and omnichannel selling.
- Create blended learning solutions — instructor-led, e‑learning, on-the-job modules and train‑the‑trainer programs — ensuring coherence across channels and maisons.
- Partner with regional and brand stakeholders (HR, Retail Ops, Merchandising, CRM) to embed learning into performance cycles and talent development frameworks.
- Manage measurement frameworks and ROI analysis for learning initiatives, using data to iterate content, demonstrate impact and report to senior commercial leaders.
- Oversee external vendor selection and management, budget administration and quality assurance for third‑party training partners.
- Coach and enable store and field managers to cascade standards and sustain behavioural change through follow-up coaching and reinforcement.
- Drive digital enablement and adoption of learning platforms, ensuring content accessibility and scalability across markets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Business, Education or a related field; master’s degree or L&D certification preferred.
- Demonstrable experience designing and delivering commercial or sales-focused learning programs for luxury retail or premium consumer brands.
- Proven stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leaders and cross-functional partners.
- Experience managing vendors, budgets and external learning providers.
- Strong analytical mindset with experience in learning measurement and reporting against business KPIs.
- Willingness and ability to travel regionally and to retail locations as required.
Skills
Experience
Typically 5+ years of progressive L&D experience with a minimum of 2–3 years focused on commercial, retail or sales enablement. Prior experience within luxury goods, fashion or premium consumer sectors is highly desirable.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Business, Education or a related discipline; advanced degree or professional L&D qualification preferred.
