Richemont seeks a Client Data & Knowledge Manager in Tokyo to lead CRM data strategy, governance and knowledge management for client‑facing teams.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the client data strategy for the Tokyo market, ensuring alignment with global Richemont guidelines and local commercial objectives.
  • Own CRM data governance: establish standards, monitor data quality, and implement cleansing, enrichment and deduplication processes.
  • Design and maintain customer segmentation, scoring and lifecycle models to support marketing, sales and after‑sales teams.
  • Manage the knowledge management ecosystem (client dossiers, best-practice playbooks, internal FAQs), driving adoption across store, sales and service teams.
  • Partner with regional and global analytics teams to deliver actionable insights, dashboards and campaign measurement using CRM and BI tools.
  • Ensure all client data handling complies with applicable regulations (including Japan’s APPI) and internal privacy policies; liaise with legal and compliance stakeholders.
  • Lead cross‑functional projects to integrate third‑party data sources, loyalty platforms and point‑of‑sale systems into the client data architecture.
  • Coach and upskill local commercial teams on data-driven clienteling practices and knowledge‑sharing protocols.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Data Science, Information Management or a related discipline; master’s preferred.
  • Proven experience implementing CRM governance, segmentation and clienteling processes within luxury retail or premium consumer brands.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of privacy and data protection requirements in Japan (APPI) and familiarity with global data protection frameworks.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with experience coordinating between commercial, marketing, IT and compliance teams.
  • Fluent business-level Japanese and professional English preferred (ability to operate in bilingual corporate settings).
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into commercial initiatives and training programs.

Experience

Typically five or more years of progressive experience in CRM, client data management, or customer insights roles, ideally within luxury retail, premium fashion, watches or jewellery. Proven track record leading cross‑functional data projects and operationalising clienteling at store level.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Data Science, Information Management or related field; advanced degree preferred.
