Business Controller
Richemont seeks a Business Controller in Istanbul to lead FP&A, budgeting and P&L analysis for its luxury maisons.
Overview
Richemont is a Switzerland-based luxury goods holding group overseeing a portfolio of prestigious maisons spanning jewellery, watchmaking, leather goods and writing instruments. As an employer, the group combines independent creative ateliers with a centralized corporate function, offering finance professionals exposure to high-end product lifecycles, international retail and wholesale channels, and multi-jurisdictional reporting.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead monthly and quarterly financial close activities for the local entity, preparing accurate P&L, balance sheet and cash flow analyses.
- Produce operational and management reporting, including variance analysis versus budget and forecast, and present findings to commercial stakeholders.
- Own budgeting and forecasting cycles; develop rolling forecasts and scenario models to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with country and brand teams to translate commercial plans into financial targets and KPIs; challenge assumptions and identify margin improvement opportunities.
- Support statutory and group consolidation processes, ensuring compliance with Richemont reporting standards and IFRS where applicable.
- Design and maintain financial dashboards and automated reports to improve transparency and timeliness of management information.
- Drive internal control, governance and process-improvement initiatives across finance and cross-functional teams.
- Partner with external auditors and central finance teams on audits, tax and ad‑hoc financial projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or equivalent; master’s degree or professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA) preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of management accounting, budgeting, forecasting and IFRS.
- Proven ability to translate complex financial information into clear commercial insights for non-finance stakeholders.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills within matrix, multi-brand organisations.
- High level of integrity and understanding of corporate governance and internal controls.
Skills
Experience
Typically 3–6 years of progressive experience in financial controlling, FP&A or management accounting within luxury goods, retail, consumer goods or a multinational corporate environment; experience with group consolidation and cross-border reporting is highly desirable.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline; relevant postgraduate degree or professional accounting qualification preferred.
