Richemont (Serapian) in Tokyo seeks a Boutique Manager to lead store operations, clienteling and team performance for its luxury leather‑goods boutique.

Overview

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead daily boutique operations to achieve sales targets and profitability, including P&L oversight and cash handling controls.
  • Develop and maintain deep client relationships through proactive clienteling, VIP service and after‑sales care to maximise lifetime value.
  • Recruit, train and coach a high-performing team; manage schedules, performance reviews and succession planning.
  • Implement and maintain brand visual merchandising and store standards to ensure a consistent maison presentation and window concept execution.
  • Manage inventory and stock control processes, coordinate replenishment, and minimise shrinkage through robust loss-prevention measures.
  • Analyse sales performance and KPIs; prepare regular reports and translate data into actionable commercial plans.
  • Drive local marketing, events and client outreach in coordination with regional marketing and wholesale teams.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, local legislation and luxury retail best practices, including health & safety and GDPR where applicable.

Qualifications

  • Proven leadership capability with the ability to recruit, develop and retain talent in a luxury retail environment.
  • Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated experience managing sales targets and basic P&L responsibility.
  • Excellent interpersonal and client‑service skills with a focus on high‑touch, personalized service.
  • Organisational maturity to manage operations, inventory and administrative processes with attention to detail.
  • Ability to translate brand guidelines into compelling in‑store presentation and customer experiences.
  • Cultural sensitivity and discretion appropriate to serving an international, high‑net‑worth clientele.

Experience
