Accounting Manager
Richemont seeks an Accounting Manager in Tokyo to lead month-end close, financial reporting and local accounting for its Japan operations.

Role & Responsibilities
- Lead month‑end and year‑end close activities for the Japan entity, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial statements.
- Prepare and review consolidated and statutory reporting in accordance with IFRS and Japanese GAAP; coordinate with regional and HQ reporting teams.
- Manage general ledger integrity, reconciliations, fixed assets, intercompany accounting and account analysis.
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting policies; support internal and external audits.
- Collaborate with tax, treasury and commercial teams to support tax filings, cash management and financial forecasting.
- Supervise and develop a small accounting team; act as primary liaison to corporate finance, external auditors and service providers.
- Drive process improvements and system optimisations in accounting workflows and ERP usage.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline; professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) preferred.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and Japanese GAAP with demonstrated application in financial reporting.
- Proven track record of managing month‑end close, statutory reporting and audit processes in a multinational environment.
- Experience implementing and maintaining internal controls and supporting external audits.
- Demonstrated people management experience, including coaching and performance management.

Experience
Typically 5+ years of progressive accounting experience within a multinational corporate, professional services firm or luxury/retail environment, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or manager-level role responsible for financial close and reporting.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; professional accounting certification (CPA, ACCA or equivalent) preferred.
