Richemont is hiring an Accountant in Munich. Responsible for ledger maintenance, month-end close and financial reporting for the Richemont group.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Maintain the general ledger and perform regular reconciliations for assigned accounts.
  • Execute month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate journal entries and account analysis.
  • Prepare statutory and management reporting packages and support preparation of consolidated financial information.
  • Support audits and liaise with internal and external auditors to provide documentation and explanations.
  • Process and control accounts payable and receivable transactions where applicable, ensuring compliance with internal controls and policies.
  • Drive process improvements and contribute to ERP/financial system projects and system implementations.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (IFRS/HGB) and local tax/VAT requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
  • Professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS) and German commercial law (HGB) relevant to reporting.
  • High level of accuracy, analytical capability and attention to detail.
  • Business‑level German and English preferred to interact with local teams and group headquarters.

SAP FI/CO Microsoft Excel (advanced) IFRS HGB Financial reporting and account reconciliation

Experience

Typically 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within an international corporate environment or luxury goods sector, with demonstrable exposure to month‑end close, reconciliations and statutory reporting.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional accounting certification preferred.
