Richemont is hiring an Accountant in Hong Kong, responsible for month‑end close, reconciliations and statutory reporting for the regional finance team.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Execute month‑end and year‑end close activities for assigned entities, including journal entries, accruals and account reconciliations.
  • Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of balance sheet accounts, intercompany positions and subledger reconciliations (AR/AP/Inventory/Fixed assets).
  • Prepare timely local management and statutory reports in accordance with group templates and reporting deadlines.
  • Support statutory audits and internal control reviews by preparing schedules, responding to auditor queries and implementing audit recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and local regulatory requirements; liaise with regional finance and tax teams on complex accounting matters.
  • Drive continuous improvement of processes and controls, including automation initiatives and documentation of standard operating procedures.
  • Collaborate with commercial, supply chain and retail teams to provide financial analyses, cost control and variance explanations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
  • Professional accounting qualification preferred (e.g., CPA, ACCA, HKICPA) or progress towards certification.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and familiarity with local Hong Kong reporting requirements.
  • Demonstrable experience with month‑end close, reconciliations and statutory audit support.

Experience

Typically 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience within a multinational environment; prior exposure to retail, luxury goods or manufacturing finance is an advantage.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a closely related field; professional accounting certification preferred.
