Puig in Paris seeks an Apprentice Olfaction Assistant (Prestige & Niche) — apprenticeship starting Sept 2026 in fragrance development.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support the olfaction and product teams in day-to-day operations for prestige and niche fragrance projects, from brief to launch.
  • Coordinate sample requests, manage sample libraries and track prototypes through production and evaluation cycles.
  • Assist with sensory panels and qualitative evaluation sessions, recording observations and providing structured feedback to perfumers and product managers.
  • Maintain project documentation, update timelines, and ensure effective communication between internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Prepare briefings, presentation materials and technical dossiers for internal reviews and cross-functional meetings.
  • Contribute to market and competitive research relevant to niche and prestige fragrance positioning.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in an apprenticeship-eligible higher education program in perfumery, cosmetic science, chemistry, marketing or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrable interest in fragrance, luxury goods or sensory sciences; curiosity for raw materials and olfactive composition.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple parallel tasks.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and the capacity to work collaboratively across functions.
  • Authorization to undertake an apprenticeship in France.

Experience

No specific prior professional experience is required; previous internships or practical exposure in perfumery, cosmetics or fragrance development are advantageous.

Education

Currently enrolled in a vocational or university program (BTS, Licence, Bachelor or equivalent) in perfumery, cosmetic science, chemistry, marketing or a related field and eligible for an apprenticeship (alternance).
