Purdey seeks a Wholesale Sales Manager in London to lead B2B account development and drive wholesale growth for the heritage luxury brand.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the wholesale sales strategy across the UK (and specified territories), advancing distribution through premium department stores, independent boutiques and specialist dealers.
  • Manage key wholesale accounts end-to-end: negotiate commercial terms, secure margin targets, agree assortment and merchandising plans, and drive sell‑through.
  • Own sales forecasting, inventory allocation and order cadence in close collaboration with planning and supply chain to optimise stock levels and reduce markdowns.
  • Cultivate long-term partnerships with retail buyers and trade partners, representing the brand at buying meetings, trade shows and showroom appointments.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with product, marketing and visual merchandising teams to ensure wholesale activations and seasonal launches are executed to brand standards.
  • Prepare regular sales reports, KPI dashboards and business reviews for senior leadership; identify opportunities and remedial actions to achieve targets.
  • Monitor competitor activity and market trends within the luxury and country-lifestyle segments to inform range, pricing and channel strategy.
  • Occasional travel to trade partners and industry events; ensure compliance with contractual and brand governance requirements.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record in wholesale or trade sales within luxury fashion, accessories or heritage lifestyle brands.
  • Demonstrable success managing national accounts, with experience negotiating commercial terms and driving account growth.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in forecasting, margin management and P&L impact.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to build long-term relationships with senior retail buyers.
  • Ability to represent a heritage luxury brand with diplomacy and attention to detail; willingness to travel as required.

Experience

Typically 5+ years of progressive wholesale or trade sales experience within luxury goods, fashion or heritage lifestyle brands, including responsibility for national accounts and demonstrable revenue growth.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Fashion or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrable experience in wholesale sales.
