Retail Supervisor
Purdey is hiring a Retail Supervisor in Pangbourne (UK) to lead boutique operations and deliver exceptional luxury client service.

Role & Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day boutique operations, ensuring flawless presentation, stock integrity and compliance with brand standards.
- Lead, coach and develop the sales team to achieve sales targets, deliver exemplary client service and maintain high client retention.
- Drive sales performance through effective clienteling, upselling and the management of key performance indicators and daily sales reporting.
- Oversee visual merchandising and product presentation, executing seasonal floorplans and window displays to brand specifications.
- Manage cash handling, POS/EPOS operations, stock replenishment, inventory audits and loss-prevention measures.
- Handle escalated customer enquiries and complaints with professionalism and discretion, preserving long-term client relationships.
- Create staff rotas and coordinate with store leadership and central teams on recruitment, training and operational initiatives.
Qualifications
- Proven supervisory experience in luxury retail, boutique or high-end hospitality environments.
- Demonstrable track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
- Strong leadership and people-development capabilities with experience coaching frontline staff.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a client-centred approach and high standards of discretion.
- Flexible availability to cover weekends, peak trading periods and occasional events.
Skills
Experience
Minimum 2 years in a supervisory or team-lead role within luxury retail or an equivalent high-end customer-facing environment; experience with boutique operations preferred.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; retail or hospitality qualifications (e.g. NVQ) desirable but not required.
