Purdey is hiring a Retail Supervisor in Pangbourne (UK) to lead boutique operations and deliver exceptional luxury client service.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day boutique operations, ensuring flawless presentation, stock integrity and compliance with brand standards.
  • Lead, coach and develop the sales team to achieve sales targets, deliver exemplary client service and maintain high client retention.
  • Drive sales performance through effective clienteling, upselling and the management of key performance indicators and daily sales reporting.
  • Oversee visual merchandising and product presentation, executing seasonal floorplans and window displays to brand specifications.
  • Manage cash handling, POS/EPOS operations, stock replenishment, inventory audits and loss-prevention measures.
  • Handle escalated customer enquiries and complaints with professionalism and discretion, preserving long-term client relationships.
  • Create staff rotas and coordinate with store leadership and central teams on recruitment, training and operational initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Proven supervisory experience in luxury retail, boutique or high-end hospitality environments.
  • Demonstrable track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
  • Strong leadership and people-development capabilities with experience coaching frontline staff.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a client-centred approach and high standards of discretion.
  • Flexible availability to cover weekends, peak trading periods and occasional events.

Experience
