Purdey in Pangbourne seeks a Part-time Receptionist (Saturday) to deliver front-of-house service for its luxury heritage boutique.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Provide immaculate front-of-house reception duties on Saturdays: welcome clients, manage the switchboard and route enquiries with discretion.
  • Operate appointment scheduling and diary management for in-house specialists and client consultations.
  • Maintain reception area presentation to the brand's luxury standards and manage incoming and outgoing correspondence and parcels.
  • Process basic transactions, handle cash or card payments and support point-of-sale procedures as required.
  • Support administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and preparing documents or client briefs for store or workshop teams.
  • Liaise with internal teams (sales, workshop, management) to ensure smooth client service and a seamless customer journey.

Qualifications

  • Right to work in the UK and reliable Saturday availability.
  • Impeccable personal presentation and professional demeanour appropriate to a luxury brand.
  • Strong verbal and written English; numeracy sufficient for basic cash handling and reconciliation.
  • Previous experience in front-of-house, reception, luxury retail or hospitality is preferred.

Experience

Education

GCSEs or equivalent; candidates with vocational qualifications in administration or hospitality are welcome.
