Data Engineer
Prada Group seeks a Data Engineer in Milan to build cloud data pipelines and analytics models for sales and customer intelligence.

Role & Responsibilities
- Translate business and technical requirements into scalable data models and production-grade datasets, with a particular focus on customer intelligence and sales KPIs.
- Design, build, maintain and optimise automated cloud-based data pipelines to ensure high-quality, certified and easily consumable datasets for enterprise users and downstream systems.
- Implement data governance, cataloguing and quality controls in line with enterprise standards (catalog/glossary curation, data quality processes).
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data consumers and cross-functional teams to deliver agile, production-ready solutions and integrate change requests.
- Develop and deploy microservices and API-based integrations (e.g., REST, OAuth) to expose data and services to internal applications and analytics platforms.
- Continuously improve existing pipelines and platform components, adopting CI/CD best practices and cloud-native capabilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related STEM discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years' hands-on experience in data operations within Big Data and cloud platform environments.
- Fluent written and spoken Italian and English.
- Proven track record designing and operating end-to-end, production-ready data solutions and pipelines.
- Experience applying analytics to retail contexts, specifically modelling and leveraging sales and customer KPIs.
Skills
Experience
At least 3 years of intensive data operations experience working with Big Data and cloud platforms, including development and maintenance of production-grade data pipelines, data modelling for analytics (sales/customer KPIs), and implementation of governance and data quality processes. Experience with microservices/APIs and Azure preferred.
Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or related STEM discipline
