Jewelry Sales Associate
Pomellato seeks a Jewelry Sales Associate in Tokyo to deliver clienteling, luxury retail sales and boutique operations for its Milan-made collections.
Overview
Pomellato is an Italian jewelry maison renowned for its bold use of coloured gemstones and artisanal craftsmanship; its collections such as Nudo, Iconica and Mama non Mama are produced in Milan ateliers. The brand is part of a global luxury group and operates through selective boutiques and department store locations that emphasise design-led, client-focused retail experiences.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide personalised, face-to-face sales and styling of Pomellato jewellery and coloured gemstones, communicating product features and craftsmanship to clients.
- Develop and maintain client relationships through proactive clienteling, management of customer records, follow-up communications and invitations for events or launches.
- Execute daily boutique operations including opening/closing procedures, POS/cash handling, ordering and replenishment, inventory control and stocktaking.
- Implement and refresh visual merchandising and product displays according to season and campaign guidelines to preserve brand presentation standards.
- Support store-level marketing and administrative activities such as preparing and sending product or event communications, and other operational tasks as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum three years of direct, face-to-face sales or client advisory experience to private clients within luxury sectors (luxury brands, cosmetics, automotive, real estate); department-store external sales experience is an advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to identify latent customer needs and convert them into tailored product proposals and closed sales (3+ years).
- Proven track record of building stable customer relationships and contributing to individual and store sales targets.
- Retail jewellery experience or substantive jewellery knowledge is desirable but not mandatory.
- Collaborative team player who can represent Pomellato’s craftsmanship and aesthetic with accuracy and enthusiasm.
Skills
Experience
At least three years of direct, advisory retail or client-facing sales experience serving private clients in the luxury sector. Preference for candidates with department store external sales or proven achievement against sales targets; jewellery retail experience is a plus.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; tertiary qualifications in retail, fashion, luxury management or hospitality are advantageous but not required.
