Role & Responsibilities
- Learn and perform finishing and habillage operations on watch cases and components under the guidance of master finishers.
- Operate hand tools and small-machinery for polishing, brushing, chamfering and surface preparation to Piaget quality standards.
- Execute visual and metrological quality checks; identify and report defects to supervisors.
- Assemble and fit components during the habillage phase, working closely with watchmakers and quality teams.
- Maintain a meticulous, organised workstation and adhere to clean-room standards and safety procedures.
- Complete assigned vocational training modules and practical assessments as part of the apprenticeship program.
- Document work progress and contribute to continuous-improvement initiatives in finishing processes.
Qualifications
- Completed compulsory schooling or equivalent; eligible for vocational/apprenticeship training in Switzerland.
- Exceptional manual dexterity and fine motor control.
- Strong visual acuity and ability to work under magnification for extended periods.
- Methodical, patient and highly attentive to surface quality and dimensional tolerances.
- Reliable, punctual and committed to a multi-year apprenticeship programme.
Skills
Experience
No prior professional experience is required; demonstrable interest in watchmaking, crafts or fine mechanics is an advantage. Any prior exposure to jewellery, metalwork or precision manual trades is beneficial but not mandatory.
Education
Completed compulsory schooling (eligible for Swiss vocational training/apprenticeship).
