Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised, consultative client experiences that reflect Penhaligon's luxury positioning and storytelling.
- Recommend and sell fragrances and complementary products to meet and exceed store sales KPIs and conversion targets.
- Build and maintain client relationships through proactive clienteling, follow-ups and a detailed understanding of customer preferences.
- Maintain visual merchandising standards, ensure product presentation and sampling stations are immaculate and on-brand.
- Operate the point-of-sale system accurately, manage transactions, returns and promotions in line with company policy.
- Manage stock levels, replenishment and inventory paperwork; support receiving and loss-prevention procedures.
- Support in-store events, launches and promotional activities; represent the brand externally when required.
- Uphold brand standards for grooming, product knowledge and customer service at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven track record in retail sales, preferably within luxury beauty, fragrance or lifestyle boutiques.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-centric mindset.
- Strong numeracy for sales transactions, target tracking and basic cash handling.
- Flexible availability including weekends, evenings and peak retail periods.
- Professional presentation and ability to represent a premium British heritage brand.
Skills
Experience
Minimum 1 year of retail experience; 1–2 years in luxury beauty or fragrance sales preferred, with documented achievement against sales targets and experience using CRM or retail POS systems.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; formal training or certificates in cosmetics, beauty or retail selling are advantageous but not mandatory.
