Role & Responsibilities

  • Serve as the brand ambassador on the shop floor, providing a warm, personalised and discreet service to a discerning international clientele.
  • Identify client needs and present product solutions to drive individual and store sales targets, including cross-selling across categories.
  • Develop and maintain long-term client relationships to foster loyalty and repeat business.
  • Maintain up-to-date product and collection knowledge to communicate features, provenance and styling guidance confidently.
  • Support and uphold visual merchandising standards to ensure the boutique reflects Maison Margiela’s aesthetic and presentation guidelines.
  • Assist with inventory and stock management tasks, including replenishment, receiving and presentation.
  • Collaborate with the store team to ensure smooth daily operations and contribute to a high-performance retail environment.
  • Adhere to company policies, grooming standards and loss-prevention procedures to preserve a professional luxury environment.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record as a client advisor or sales professional in luxury retail, ideally within ready-to-wear or designer fashion.
  • Demonstrable ability to build and sustain international client relationships and manage a personal client portfolio.
  • Fluent English (mandatory); additional languages advantageous.
  • Excellent verbal communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Commercially driven with a proactive approach to achieving targets and maximising sales opportunities.
  • Strong cross-selling skills and category knowledge across leather goods, apparel and accessories.
  • Professional grooming and the capacity to represent a high-end luxury brand consistently.

Experience

Experienced luxury retail advisor with proven success in clienteling and sales; ideally 2+ years in a boutique or flagship environment serving international clientele.

Education

High-school diploma required; vocational training in retail, fashion or a degree in fashion/business or related discipline is advantageous.
