Officine Universelle Buly — Paris: Management Control Intern (Operations) internship starting July 2026.
Overview
Officine Universelle Buly is a French luxury beauty and fragrance maison known for its artisanal approach, historical aesthetic and refined retail boutiques worldwide. The house joined the LVMH group in recent years and leverages both French savoir-faire and an international retail footprint across Europe and Asia.
Role & Responsibilities
- Define and implement KPIs to increase the reliability of gross margin components, with a primary focus on inventory-related metrics.
- Validate and track monthly stock valuation and explain month‑over‑month variances.
- Monitor and challenge production purchasing to ensure accurate cost capture and margin control.
- Track and report stock depreciation and provisioning; propose adjustments where necessary.
- Design and deploy internal control checkpoints related to inventory processes.
- Support analysis of retail sales and store performance across the network.
- Participate in subsidiary controlling activities for month‑end closes and forecasts (UK, Hong Kong, Italy, Germany, Japan).
- Deliver ad‑hoc financial analyses to support operational and strategic decision‑making.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Finance, Accounting or Business School with a finance specialization.
- Previous internship or first experience in controlling or audit is required.
- Autonomous and able to integrate quickly into cross‑functional teams.
- Highly rigorous, strong analytical mindset and meticulous attention to detail.
- Advanced command of Excel and proficient use of PowerPoint.
- Fluent in French with solid working proficiency in English.
- Interest in transformation and operational optimisation projects within a growing luxury maison.
Skills
Experience
Entry‑level internship candidate; prior internship or a first role in controlling or audit required. Availability to start in July 2026.
Education
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business (finance specialization).
