Role & Responsibilities

  • Train in the manufacture, maintenance and repair of precision tools, jigs and fixtures used in production.
  • Set up and operate manual and CNC machine tools (milling, turning) to produce high-precision components.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, tolerances and specifications; perform quality checks using micrometers, calipers and gauges.
  • Support preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of tooling and production equipment.
  • Participate in the dual vocational training program, combining on-the-job training at the workshop with attendance at vocational school.

Qualifications

  • Secondary-school leaving certificate (Realschulabschluss) or equivalent; completion of compulsory schooling with technical orientation is acceptable.
  • Strong manual dexterity, spatial awareness and interest in metalworking and precision mechanics.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical principles and willingness to learn CNC operation and tooling technologies.
  • Reliable work ethic, team orientation and readiness to attend vocational school as part of the apprenticeship.

Experience
