Role & Responsibilities
- Define and enforce master data governance policies, standards and lifecycle processes across product, material and supplier domains.
- Lead, coach and develop a team of data stewards while setting priorities, objectives and quality KPIs.
- Oversee day-to-day master data operations including data creation, enrichment, validation and remediation to ensure data integrity across ERP, PIM and retail systems.
- Collaborate with commercial, supply chain, IT and digital teams to align data models and drive cross‑functional data initiatives (onboarding, migrations, integrations).
- Design and deliver reporting and dashboards to monitor data quality, SLA compliance and process performance, proposing continuous improvement actions.
- Manage projects and change activities related to master data (system rollouts, PIM upgrades, data migrations) and ensure regulatory/compliance requirements are met.
- Develop training materials and run stakeholder workshops to embed best practices and stewardship responsibilities across the organisation.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience with demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a team of data professionals.
- Strong knowledge of master data governance principles, data modeling and data quality frameworks.
- Proven experience managing master data in a retail, luxury goods or manufacturing environment.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with an ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in data profiling and issue remediation methodologies.
- Fluent English; German proficiency desirable for local stakeholder engagement.

Experience
Typically 5+ years in master data management or data governance with at least 2 years in a people‑lead or supervisory role; prior exposure to luxury retail or consumer goods environments is strongly preferred.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Supply Chain, or a related field; Master's degree or professional certification in data management (e.g., CDMP, DAMA) is advantageous.
