Montblanc seeks a Store Design Planning Manager in Mexico City to lead store planning, technical design and rollouts for the region.

Overview

Role & Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain store planning standards, technical drawings and documentation to ensure global brand consistency across new stores, remodels and shop‑in‑shop projects.
  • Lead the store planning process in Mexico and assigned LATAM markets: site assessments, space programming, technical design, cost estimation and handover to construction teams.
  • Coordinate cross‑functional stakeholders including retail operations, visual merchandising, local architects, contractors and external consultants to deliver projects on scope, budget and schedule.
  • Produce and review architectural and MEP drawings, floor plans, elevations and FF&E placement; ensure compliance with local building codes and accessibility requirements.
  • Manage project budgets, develop cost plans, track change orders and approve procurement of store fittings and fixtures in alignment with purchasing policies.
  • Implement store rollout schedules and milestone reporting; identify and mitigate design and delivery risks to protect timelines and P&L.
  • Provide technical support and training to store teams and local partners on design standards, installation protocols and maintenance requirements.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering or equivalent technical discipline.
  • Professional experience within luxury retail, architecture or interior design firms with responsibility for store rollouts and technical documentation.
  • Proven capability to manage multiple concurrent projects, maintain budgets and deliver to tight retail timelines.
  • Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills, including experience working with external architects, contractors and suppliers.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and regionally for site surveys and project supervision.
  • Fluency in Spanish and professional working proficiency in English preferred.

Experience

Typically 5+ years of progressive experience in retail store planning, architectural design or project management, with a track record of delivering store openings and remodels for premium or luxury brands.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Civil/Building Engineering or closely related field.
