Montblanc in Melbourne seeks a Senior Sales Associate to drive luxury sales and build high-value client relationships at the boutique.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Achieve and exceed individual and boutique sales targets while contributing to store KPIs and commercial objectives.
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with high-net-worth and repeat clients through proactive clienteling and personalised after-sales follow-up.
  • Deliver exemplary, product-led service demonstrating deep expertise across Montblanc categories (writing instruments, leather, watches, accessories).
  • Coach and mentor junior sales staff; support onboarding and ongoing skills development to elevate team performance.
  • Manage point-of-sale transactions, returns and exchanges with accuracy and adherence to brand policy.
  • Maintain boutique presentation standards, visual merchandising and stockroom organisation to reflect the brand’s luxury positioning.
  • Actively participate in CRM usage, capture client data and sales insights to inform targeted outreach and events.
  • Support boutique operations including stock replenishment, inventory reconciliations and loss-prevention procedures.
  • Represent the brand at client events and private appointments, coordinating personalised services such as bespoke ordering when required.
  • Provide timely feedback to management on market trends, client preferences and competitor activity.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record of high-performance sales within luxury retail or premium lifestyle brands.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a client-centric disposition.
  • Strong product knowledge and aptitude for learning technical features across watches, writing instruments and leather goods.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach peers and contribute to a collaborative retail environment.
  • Right to work in Australia and flexibility to work retail hours including weekends and public holidays.
  • Professional presentation and adherence to luxury service standards.

Experience

Typically 3+ years of progressive experience in luxury retail or premium service sales, with demonstrated success in developing and retaining high-value clients; prior supervisory or mentoring responsibilities preferred.

High-school completion required; tertiary qualification in business, retail management, hospitality or a related field is advantageous.
