Boutique Manager
Montblanc is hiring a Boutique Manager in Johannesburg to lead boutique operations, drive sales and deliver exceptional client service.

Role & Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day boutique operations, ensuring adherence to Montblanc brand standards and luxury retail protocols.
- Drive and exceed sales targets through effective team coaching, performance management and delivery of exceptional client experiences.
- Develop and maintain relationships with VIP and priority clients, implementing clienteling strategies and bespoke service initiatives.
- Manage inventory, stock replenishment and visual merchandising to optimize sell-through and presentation of seasonal collections.
- Recruit, train and motivate boutique staff; conduct appraisals, set objectives and manage rosters to align with business needs.
- Oversee cash handling, store reconciliation and loss-prevention procedures in compliance with company policies.
- Own basic P&L responsibilities for the boutique, including cost control, local marketing execution and reporting to regional management.
Qualifications
- Proven track record of luxury retail management, preferably within watches, leather goods, accessories or premium lifestyle brands.
- Demonstrated leadership capability with experience hiring, coaching and developing sales teams.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience meeting or exceeding sales targets and managing basic P&L metrics.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a client-centric approach suited to cultivating long-term VIP relationships.
- Fluent in English with professional communication skills; additional languages are advantageous but not required.
Skills
Experience
Typically 3–5 years of progressive experience in retail, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role within the luxury goods sector. Demonstrable success in driving revenues and building high-performing teams is required.
Education
Tertiary qualification in Business, Retail Management or a related discipline preferred; equivalent combination of secondary education and substantial luxury retail experience will be considered.
