Experienced Vineyard Tractor Operator
Moët & Chandon in Troyes seeks an Experienced Vineyard Tractor Operator (CDI) to run mechanised vineyard operations and equipment in Champagne.

Role & Responsibilities
- Operate vineyard machinery (tractor, mini-excavator, telehandler, forklift) to perform mechanised vineyard tasks in compliance with quality, safety and regulatory requirements.
- Execute a full range of viticultural operations: mowing, destruction and sowing of cover crops, soil work (including combined implement operations), rognage, pre-pruning, shredding of canes, uprooting dead vines, wire unwinding and mechanical tie-up.
- Prepare and apply soil and foliar amendments: spreading fertilisers, composts, lime, mulches and chelates; calibrate and control volume/coverage of sprayers and maintain traceability of treatments.
- Perform workshop tasks including equipment assembly/disassembly, adjustment, basic maintenance, part cutting and MIG arc welding repairs.
- Manage phytosanitary spray preparations, associated transfers and stock/inventory monitoring for the sulfaterie; ensure correct handling and safety procedures.
- Install and repair trellis systems and carry out path repairs and site maintenance using telescopic handlers and mini-excavators.
- Take charge of commissioning and familiarisation with new equipment; carry out pre-season and in-season checks and adjustments of sprayers.
- Document work performed, report anomalies, and implement corrective actions as required while adhering to internal procedures and traceability standards.
Qualifications
- Certificate of aptitude in vine pruning issued by the Corporation des Vignerons de Champagne (required).
- CAPA Vigne et Vin, BPA Travaux de la Vigne or equivalent vocational qualification (desired).
- Training in Agro-Equipment or equivalent technical training, or completion of internal machinery operation training.
- Mandatory certifications: CERTIPHYTO.
- CACES certifications: R489 catégorie 3 (forklift), R485 catégorie 2 (order picker/gerbeur), R482 catégorie A (mini-excavator) and F (telehandler).
- Valid category B driving licence.
Skills
Experience
Minimum three years of hands-on experience executing the full range of manual and mechanised viticultural operations, including operation and maintenance of vineyard machinery.
Education
Vocational qualification in viticulture/agricultural mechanics preferred (CAPA Vigne et Vin, BPA Travaux de la Vigne or equivalent); Certificate of aptitude in vine pruning (required); agro-equipment training or equivalent.
