Area Sales Manager
Moët Hennessy seeks an Area Sales Manager in Gurgaon, India to lead sales, distributor relationships and team performance across Haryana.

Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and execute territory sales strategies to achieve volume, revenue and market share targets across On‑Trade and Off‑Trade channels in Haryana.
- Expand distribution and visibility through wholesale, retail and on‑trade partners; secure agreed distribution points and optimise shelving/placement.
- Manage key accounts, distributors, wholesalers and retail partners; negotiate and implement compliant trade agreements and promotions.
- Plan and deliver brand activations and promotional campaigns, including uploading activation details to the company portal and ensuring POSM standards.
- Recruit, train and lead a high‑performing sales team; set targets, monitor performance and provide coaching to drive a results‑oriented culture.
- Oversee stock, inventory and new product launches at depots/distributors; conduct retail outlet audits and track market share and stock levels.
- Manage state‑level budgets (FTT and ANP), contracts and quarterly analyses to ensure promotional ROI and budgetary compliance.
- Ensure timely receivables and collections; monitor account financial health and minimise bad debts through proactive follow‑up and controls.
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends; provide market feedback to marketing and commercial teams to refine trade plans.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years' proven experience in retail or distribution sales within Wines & Spirits, hospitality, FMCG or luxury goods.
- Master’s degree in Business (Sales & Marketing) or graduate in Hotel Management.
- Demonstrable track record of achieving targets, growing distribution and managing key accounts and trade partners.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills with experience executing compliant trade agreements.
- Proven people management experience: recruitment, target setting, performance management and coaching of sales teams.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.

Minimum 10 years of progressive sales experience in Wines & Spirits, Hospitality or FMCG with demonstrable success in managing distributors, key accounts and territory teams within a luxury or premium consumer goods context.
Education
Master’s degree in Business (Sales & Marketing) or a Hotel Management graduate.
