Area Manager — Madrid
Moët Hennessy seeks an Area Manager in Madrid to drive distributor partnerships, brand activation and sales across Madrid, Valladolid, Salamanca and Zamora.
Overview
Moët Hennessy is the wines & spirits division of the LVMH group, representing a portfolio of high‑end maisons and marques. As part of a global luxury conglomerate, the organisation combines heritage brands with modern commercial rigour and invests in brand education, premium distribution and experiential activation.
Role & Responsibilities
- Own commercial performance and brand development for the assigned territory (Madrid, Valladolid, Salamanca, Zamora), defining and executing annual commercial plans aligned with group strategy and financial guidelines.
- Manage and support distributor partners and their sales forces to maximise distribution, activation and sales volume across the portfolio.
- Develop and nurture key image accounts to optimise visibility, merchandising and promotional activity.
- Negotiate annual agreements, temporary promotions and bespoke commercial plans with customers and distributors.
- Maintain up‑to‑date P&L estimates, sales forecasts, KPI reports and action plans for key customers; monitor volumes, profitability, risks and opportunities.
- Conduct ongoing market analysis to identify expansion opportunities, competitor activity, pricing dynamics and stock levels.
- Ensure correct implementation of pricing policy, brand image and in‑store activation guidelines across channels.
- Manage assigned budgets and investments (T&E and FTT/A&P), ensuring efficient allocation and ROI tracking.
- Act as Brand Ambassador in the territory, delivering brand education and prescription to trade and on‑trade partners.
- Collaborate closely with the Regional Manager and cross‑functional colleagues to ensure alignment and share best practice.
Qualifications
- Graduate / degree‑level education.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar commercial or territory role within the Wines & Spirits or FMCG sector.
- Strong knowledge of the Spanish Wines & Spirits market and distribution landscape.
- Excellent negotiation and presentation skills with proven commercial acumen.
- High level of analytical capability, comfortable with P&L, KPI tracking and sales forecasting.
- Demonstrated operational excellence, organisation and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Fluent in Spanish and English; working knowledge of French is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned territory and operate with autonomy.
