Role & Responsibilities

  • Implement and adapt the worldwide buying strategy to regional market specifics and priorities.
  • Ensure regional coordination of brand image through strategic buying decisions.
  • Align regional buying choices with global product strategies to maximize potential.
  • Oversee special projects during buying campaigns, including capsules and unique collections.
  • Monitor and revise Carry Over proposals with localized strategies for optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with regional functions on launches, store openings, and events.
  • Analyze and strategize in-season assortments to optimize store performance.
  • Manage regional stock across retail and e-commerce channels.
  • Rationalize and monitor store assortments, balancing newness and carryover.
  • Define stock distribution rules for new and carryover items.
  • Coordinate reorders from corporate or other regions as needed.
  • Work with corporate merchandising on merchandise assortment and buying execution.
  • Conduct product training for regional teams before new season launches.
  • Monitor sales and sell-through to optimize stock and boost sales.
  • Review competitor pricing and business strategies.
  • Provide qualitative business feedback to corporate merchandising.
  • Coordinate with inventory planning on deliveries and newness allocation.
  • Conduct regular store visits to gather client and product trend feedback.
  • Share feedback with corporate teams to inform strategic decisions.
  • Analyze stock levels and merchandise allocation for growth opportunities.
  • Conduct regular store visits to clarify assortments and buying strategies.
  • Collaborate with local teams to enhance product knowledge in stores.
  • Work closely with visual merchandising and operations to monitor market trends.
  • Highlight full potential opportunities per store with sales plans and forecasts.
  • Conduct sales plan reviews with regional controlling teams.
  • Evaluate sales potential by event and store to define category-level OTB splits.
  • Provide strategic input for visual merchandising setups to boost performance.
  • Collaborate with visual merchandising on new launch strategies.
  • Share updates on carryover assortment and performance for display adjustments.
  • Provide performance feedback to inform visual merchandising strategies.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a retail environment with comprehensive knowledge of retail processes.
  • Strong analytical abilities with a focus on accuracy and precision.
  • Proficiency in Excel and BI tools for performance monitoring.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Japanese and English.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
