Role & Responsibilities
- Design and develop interactive Tableau dashboards and reports that communicate key business metrics and trends.
- Translate stakeholder requirements into effective visual analytics using Tableau best practices for visualization design and naming conventions.
- Optimize dashboards for performance, scalability and usability on Tableau Cloud, and manage content promotion across Dev/Test/Prod environments.
- Connect Tableau to multiple data sources (SQL databases, data warehouses, cloud platforms, Excel, APIs) and create/maintain data models, joins, calculations, parameters and filters.
- Perform data validation and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and consistency of reported metrics.
- Monitor dashboard usage and performance; troubleshoot data issues, refresh failures and user access problems.
- Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Deliver user training and enablement sessions and enhance existing dashboards as business needs evolve.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics or related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on Tableau development experience.
- Proven proficiency in SQL for data querying, validation and troubleshooting.
- Experience with relational databases and data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, SQL Server, Oracle).
- Deep knowledge of Tableau-specific capabilities: calculated fields, LOD expressions, table calculations, parameters and data modeling concepts (facts, dimensions, star schema).
- Strong analytical mindset with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to translate data into clear insights for non-technical audiences.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions on schedule.

Experience
At least 5 years of professional Tableau development experience delivering dashboards and self-service reporting. Demonstrated experience integrating Tableau with relational databases and modern data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, SQL Server, Oracle) and collaborating with data engineers and business stakeholders to convert requirements into performant, accurate visual analytics. Experience with Tableau Cloud administration and ETL tools is preferred.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
