Store Design Project Manager
Michael Kors seeks a Store Design Project Manager in the NY Metro Area to lead retail store schematic-to-construction projects.

Role & Responsibilities
- Create schematic designs for new stores and produce sketches/elevations to support executive review and approval.
- Manage and coordinate external consultants and vendors, including production architects, engineers, renderers and furniture suppliers.
- Oversee design development and the production of construction documents; review, redline and approve architectural and engineering deliverables.
- Review and approve millwork, storefront and signage shop drawings to ensure consistency with the design intent.
- Resolve landlord review comments to secure approvals while protecting the store design concept.
- Coordinate with the visual department to deliver merchandising collateral (mannequins, product enhancers, graphics, artwork) to stores.
- Research and source alternative finishes and millwork to achieve cost savings and maintain design quality.
- Participate in the collaborative design of new fixtures and store models and propose solutions for issues affecting schedule, cost or design integrity across multiple projects.
Qualifications
- Degree in Architecture or Interior Design.
- Minimum 5+ years professional experience; retail architecture/interior experience preferred.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently under aggressive timelines with strong initiative.
- Excellent presentation skills; able to tailor communications to executive and operational audiences.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize work independently.
- Availability to travel as required.

Experience
At least 5 years of professional experience, ideally with a background in retail architecture or interior design and demonstrated experience delivering store projects from schematic design through construction documentation.
Education
Architecture or Interior Design degree.
