Stock Associate

Overview

Role & Responsibilities

• Maintain the selling floor and merchandise in a neat, organized and fully stocked condition.
• Manage stockroom inventory and replenish the sales floor according to merchandising standards.
• Execute shipping and receiving procedures and complete all related paperwork accurately.
• Participate in regular inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure stock accuracy.
• Comply with Point-of-Sale (POS) policies and accurately perform register functions.
• Adhere to assigned work schedule, including time and attendance protocols.
• Attend and participate in store training, development seminars and team meetings as directed by store management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, carrying, standing for extended periods and moving merchandise safely.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational aptitude.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Effective verbal communication and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Skills

Experience

Previous retail or stockroom experience is preferred; experience with inventory counts, POS transactions and shipping/receiving procedures is advantageous.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
