Role & Responsibilities

  • Maintain a neat, organized and fully stocked selling floor and back stockroom.
  • Assist with receiving, unpacking, tagging and processing inbound merchandise; complete shipping/receiving paperwork per store protocol.
  • Support inventory control activities, including cycle counts and full-store inventories.
  • Operate Point-of-Sale systems and execute all relevant register functions accurately and in compliance with policy.
  • Adhere to scheduled shifts, time and attendance policies, and store procedures.
  • Participate in training, development seminars and store meetings as directed by management.
  • Deliver high standards of customer service; assist in building and maintaining repeat clientele and resolving client issues.

Qualifications

  • Availability to work a flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality; ability to follow direction and store procedures.
  • Basic numeracy and the ability to execute register and POS functions accurately.
  • Ability to handle physical tasks associated with stockroom work, including lifting and moving merchandise.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Experience

Previous experience in retail stockroom, inventory control or merchandising preferred; prior customer-facing retail experience is advantageous.
