Role & Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for facilities, engineering, maintenance, janitorial and procurement teams across a multi-building distribution campus.
  • Manage preventive and corrective maintenance for mechanical, electrical, HVAC and conveyor systems to ensure continuous operations and equipment reliability.
  • Oversee CMMS administration, ensuring accurate work orders, asset histories and optimized preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Drive Lean and Six Sigma–based continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime, improve throughput and enhance equipment performance.
  • Coordinate capital projects, renovations and retrofits, including vendor selection, contract negotiation and project execution.
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets, forecasts and cost‑saving initiatives related to labor, materials and capital investments.
  • Champion safety and regulatory compliance (OSHA/environmental), support audits and coordinate emergency preparedness/business continuity plans.
  • Partner with Operations to identify bottlenecks, implement automation/engineering solutions and deploy metrics/dashboards to track reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management or related technical discipline.
  • 7–10 years of experience in distribution centre or manufacturing maintenance, including a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated experience managing cross‑functional teams (Maintenance, Engineering, Procurement, Continuous Improvement).
  • Proven track record in budget management, vendor contracts and capital project oversight.
  • Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred.
  • In‑depth knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems and the ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
  • Experience with conveyor systems and automated warehouse technologies.

Experience

7–10 years of progressive experience in distribution centre or manufacturing maintenance with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity, including hands-on experience with automated warehouse equipment and continuous improvement programs.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a closely related field.
