Michael Kors seeks a Part-time Sales Associate in San Francisco to drive sales and build lasting client relationships (up to $20/hr).

Role & Responsibilities

  • Achieve and exceed individual sales targets through proactive selling and client development.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, build and maintain a repeat client base using the client book and clienteling techniques.
  • Demonstrate deep product knowledge and keep abreast of fashion and market trends to inform merchandising and selling.
  • Manage transaction processing and Point-of-Sale operations, including proper register functions and compliance with POS policies.
  • Support store operations: maintain merchandising standards, stockroom inventory, receiving/shipping procedures and participate in inventories.
  • Follow up on sales details post-transaction (shipping, alterations and special requests) to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Adhere to scheduled hours, time-and-attendance policies and participate in store training and development programs.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of retail sales experience, preferably within luxury, fashion or premium retail.
  • Proven ability to meet sales targets and perform clienteling to develop long-term client relationships.
  • Strong verbal communication and proven complaint-resolution skills.
  • Capacity to perform operational tasks including inventory control, receiving/shipping paperwork and register reconciliation.
  • Flexible availability to work retail schedules, including evenings and weekends.

Experience

Minimum two years of retail experience, with demonstrated success in sales generation, client development and operational retail tasks; luxury or premium brand experience preferred.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary coursework in retail, fashion or business is advantageous.
