Project Manager, Store Development
Michael Kors seeks a Project Manager, Store Development in NY Metro Area to manage retail construction projects. Compensation: $100,000–$120,000.

Role & Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of retail and outlet store construction from schematic design through final turnover, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.
- Review construction drawings and ensure designs comply with company standards; coordinate revisions with designers, consultants and internal stakeholders.
- Evaluate landlord criteria and lease construction requirements and communicate obligations to project teams.
- Prepare and maintain project schedules and construction estimates based on design-development documentation.
- Coordinate preconstruction activities including permitting, utility set-up and project communications.
- Support the bid process: review subcontractor proposals, assist negotiations and validate compliance with budget and quality expectations.
- Monitor project costs, review and approve invoices, and maintain accurate project accounting and closeout documentation.
- Collaborate with Retail Operations and IT to confirm operational readiness (registers, security, etc.) prior to store opening.
- Oversee construction quality, manage punchlists and ensure timely completion of turnover tasks.
- Maintain strong working relationships with contractors, consultants, designers and cross-functional internal teams.
- Ensure owner‑furnished materials are procured and delivered per schedule and maintain organized digital and hardcopy project files.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering or related field.
- 3–6 years of experience in retail construction, store planning or a closely related environment.
- Proven ability to support or manage multiple concurrent projects with aggressive timelines.
- Familiarity with real estate expansion programs or retail rollout initiatives (preferred).

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
