Michael Kors seeks a Payroll Specialist — International Markets in Manno, Switzerland to manage payroll across European markets and liaise with external providers.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Process monthly payroll for assigned international markets, ensuring timely and accurate net payments to employees and statutory payments to social security, pension and tax authorities.
  • Act as primary liaison with external payroll providers: submit payroll data, review preliminary reports and approve final payslips.
  • Coordinate with treasury for remittance of social security, pension and withholding tax payments and resolve any payment queries.
  • Prepare and deliver payroll journal entries and accruals to the accounting team; follow up on payroll reconciliations.
  • Respond to employee payroll enquiries professionally, investigating pay elements and tax calculations.
  • Support statutory and external audits by supplying payroll documentation and acting as the contact for auditors.
  • Execute and document SOX controls and other internal control activities related to payroll.
  • Produce and maintain standard and ad hoc payroll reports, KPIs and statistics.
  • Maintain and update standard operating procedures and payroll documentation.
  • Contribute to cross‑functional projects and provide backup support within the payroll team.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Economics, Accounting or related discipline.
  • Minimum five years of professional payroll experience, ideally within a multinational organisation.
  • Practical knowledge of payroll accounting, labour law, social security regimes and income tax legislation across European jurisdictions.
  • Proven administrative and organisational capabilities with high attention to detail.
  • Fluent English required; professional proficiency in French or German preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills.

Experience

Education

Diploma or degree in HR, Economics, Accounting or a related field.
