Global Trade Compliance Manager
Michael Kors is hiring a Global Trade Compliance Manager in Venlo, Netherlands to lead customs, regulatory compliance and audits across Capri brands.
Overview
Michael Kors is a global luxury fashion brand within the Capri Holdings portfolio, alongside Jimmy Choo and Versace. The brand operates across retail, wholesale and digital channels with a creative, fast-paced commercial ethos and extensive international supply-chain and distribution operations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee global trade compliance programs across Capri Holdings regions (NA, EMEA, APAC) and brands (Michael Kors, Jimmy Choo, Versace), including audits, risk assessments and corrective action plans.
- Maintain and interpret up-to-date knowledge of global customs laws, labeling and packaging regulations and translate regulatory changes into operational requirements.
- Design, deliver and manage compliance training for new hires and existing employees across regions to ensure consistent adherence to trade policies.
- Manage relationships with internal stakeholders (logistics, distribution, production, sourcing, legal, tax, finance) and external parties (suppliers, logistics providers, government agencies, auditors).
- Develop, implement and continuously improve compliance policies, procedures and controls to mitigate risk and reduce downstream supply-chain costs.
- Represent the company in trade and industry groups and communicate audit results, regulatory updates and compliance risks to senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, International Trade, Logistics, or a closely related field.
- 7–10 years of hands-on trade compliance experience, preferably in a multi-brand retail or consumer goods environment.
- Proven experience with audit management, regulatory inquiries and corrective action planning.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with demonstrated ability to influence senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrable experience in data analytics, project management and process improvement methodologies.
- Solid understanding of legal, labeling, packaging and supply-chain processes as they relate to international trade.
- Excellent planning, organisational and problem-solving capabilities and a proactive, initiative-driven mindset.

7–10 years of progressive trade compliance experience with responsibility for customs, audits, regulatory interpretation and corrective actions in an international supply-chain environment; experience across multiple regions and with cross-functional collaboration is required.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or a closely related field.
