Global Social Media & Innovation Manager
Michael Kors seeks a Global Social Media & Innovation Manager in New York (NY Metro Area) to lead global social, community and social commerce strategy.

Role & Responsibilities
- Define and execute global multi-platform social content, community and social commerce strategies that drive brand growth, engagement and conversion.
- Oversee global social account management, content calendars, daily publishing and execution of seasonal campaigns, talent partnerships and live-event social activation.
- Partner with Creative, E‑commerce, Paid Media and regional teams to align on social-first creative briefs, distribution plans and market-specific adaptations.
- Manage and optimise global social commerce channels (Instagram and TikTok), maintain brand shops and deliver actionable performance reporting and recommendations.
- Lead community management standards and moderation practices to protect brand tone, monitor sentiment and escalate issues as appropriate.
- Monitor competitive and cultural trends; translate insights into forward‑looking content, platform and innovation strategies.
- Drive digital innovation initiatives with platform partners and external vendors across emerging formats including AR, AI/CGI, gaming and immersive experiences.
- Manage the global social content and innovation budget and partner programs (Team Kors Ambassador, Social UGC expansion).
- Lead, mentor and develop the Social Analyst/Strategist; ensure high-quality deliverables and professional growth across the social team.
- Establish reporting frameworks and deliver performance insights and education to internal stakeholders on platform best practices and trends.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, business or communications.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in social media management; experience at a fashion/retail brand or agency preferred.
- Proven experience managing global multi-market social programs, including social commerce and community operations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, strong organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to synthesise analytics into strategic recommendations and clearly communicate performance insights to cross‑functional partners.
- Creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills and the capacity to manage multiple concurrent projects.
- Familiarity with major social platforms and ecosystem nuances (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, Snapchat, X, Pinterest, LINE, Weibo, WeChat).
- Familiarity with social management tools such as Sprinklr and Opal is a plus.
- Ability to work on-site in the New York office four days per week.

Experience
At least 5 years of progressive experience in social media management, ideally within a fashion or retail brand or agency environment, with demonstrated ownership of global social programs, social commerce initiatives and managing junior staff or analysts.
Education
Bachelor’s degree preferred—marketing, business, communications or a related field.
