Michael Kors Assistant Store Manager, Central Valley NY (Woodbury Commons) — Full-time; $26–$32/hr.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Drive personal and store sales performance to meet or exceed targets; coach selling staff to maximise conversion and average transaction value.
  • Ensure exemplary customer service and clienteling; build and maintain repeat clientele and support associates with client book development.
  • Oversee daily store operations including cash control, deposits, safe management, petty cash and register functions.
  • Manage inventory processes and participate in stock takes; collaborate on loss prevention and physical security measures.
  • Execute and maintain visual merchandising directives; ensure the selling floor is presentation-ready and deliveries are processed timely.
  • Recruit, train and develop store staff; evaluate performance, provide feedback and support HR in employee relations and payroll integrity.
  • When required, drive product to and from offsite locations in accordance with company procedures.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of retail experience with 1–2 years in specialty or store management.
  • Proven ability to coach and develop sales teams and to lead by example in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with experience resolving customer complaints and HR-related issues.
  • Knowledge of cash control, inventory management, merchandising and loss prevention procedures.
  • Flexible availability including weekends and holidays; valid driver's license and clean driving record when performing offsite deliveries.

Experience

At least three years of retail experience, including one to two years in a specialty or store management role, with demonstrated success in meeting sales targets, managing inventory, and leading a sales team.

Education

High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary education in business, fashion merchandising or a related field is a plus.
