Michael Kors seeks an Assistant Store Manager in Auburn Hills, MI to drive sales, operations and client service for its retail store.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Achieve personal and store sales targets through direct selling and by coaching the team to maximize performance.
  • Monitor, track and communicate business results and sales metrics to the store leadership team.
  • Lead by example to ensure consistently elevated levels of customer service and clienteling; grow and maintain a personal client book and support associates in building theirs.
  • Resolve client issues and complaints promptly and professionally; support associates with returns, exchanges and service recovery.
  • Partner with the Store Manager on operations including risk management, physical security, inventory control, cash handling and deposit procedures.
  • Execute and support all register and POS functions; train staff on correct register usage and management controls.
  • Participate in inventories and communicate stock needs and product concerns to merchandising and buying teams.
  • Support implementation and maintenance of visual merchandising directives; ensure the selling floor is organized and reflects brand presentation standards.
  • Contribute to recruitment, onboarding, training and ongoing development of store staff; deliver performance feedback and support HR processes and payroll integrity.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of retail experience with 1–2 years in specialty or boutique management.
  • Proven ability to coach and develop sales teams to meet commercial goals.
  • Strong clienteling skills with experience building and maintaining repeat clientele.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of inventory control, cash handling and basic loss-prevention practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to resolve customer and HR issues tactfully.
  • Valid driver’s license required when role responsibilities include offsite product transfers.

Experience
