Role & Responsibilities

  • Serve as an ambassador for Maison Mercier, conveying the brand's values, heritage, and creativity during tastings.
  • Advise local and international clientele on champagne selections, enhancing their tasting experience.
  • Conduct and animate tastings, promoting and serving wines while sharing the Maison's stories.
  • Maintain the sommelier station, ensuring cleanliness and organization of service accessories and spaces.
  • Ensure visitor satisfaction by identifying their desires and providing memorable experiences in collaboration with colleagues and the Visit Center Manager.
  • Facilitate client engagement in the boutique, promoting and selling products.
  • Manage inventory, stock, and the organization of tasting areas.
  • Participate in linen management, including setup and replenishment.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and news.
  • Host internal and external representation events as needed.
  • Adhere to and enforce hygiene and safety regulations related to food and beverage service.
  • Report any safety or security concerns to management.

Qualifications

  • Proven passion for client service and hospitality.
  • Ability to adapt to diverse clients and situations.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a penchant for upselling and cross-selling.
  • Curiosity and continuous learning about the champagne industry.
  • Exemplary presentation and communication skills.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in a third language is advantageous.
